Laser genital bleaching

What is it?

Genital hyperpigmentation is the darkening of the skin around the anal and genital area both in men and women. It can be caused by age, hormonal issues or even a genetic predispostion to excessive hyperpigmentation of the skin.

Laser genital bleaching is a state of the art treatment which depigments the skin of the private area for which we use the Fotona laser.

The procedure

AC Cirugía Plástica assesses the patient to see if the treatment is appropriate for them and provides them with all the information necessary. The process is carried out without anaesthetic as it is a non-invasive and practically painless procedure and therefore does not require hospitalisation.

Firstly, a gentle peeling is applied to the area to be treated. Then, the Fotona laser is used to depigment the skin. Once this process has been carried out, the area is moisturised using specially formulated products and the appropriate precautions taken.

Type of procedure: Outpatient clinic.
Length of procedure: Around 20-30 minutes.
Anaesthetic: Not required.
Hospitalisation: Not required.
Recovery time: Not required.

After treatment, the treated area may sting a little but this will decrease after a few hours. It is advisable not to have sexual intercourse for the following week. The patient can return to their usual routine as soon as the session is over.

Progressive results after each session

Efficient, painless and safe

Immediate recovery

This kind of technique requires a minimum number of sessions which will be established medically depending on the patient and especially on the pigmentation of the skin. For best results, the patient must avoid sunbathing without protection on the area, as this increases the pigmentation. Furthermore, the use of tight clothing fosters chafing and the development of hyperpigmentation.
