Breast asymmetry is an imbalance in the size, shape or position of the breasts. We should keep in mind that breast symmetry does not exist, but a very large imbalance between them may require surgical intervention to correct the difference and achieve more symmetrical breasts.

The technique used will depend on the shape and size of the breasts, as well as the degree of asymmetry. In some cases prostheses of different sizes will be implanted and, in others, procedures of greater complexity will have to be carried out. You can also reduce the larger breast to match the size of the other, or fill the smaller breast with autologous fat (ACualipo).
At the first consultation, Dr Carballeira will assess the patient, who will then be informed of the most appropriate technique for their case with its benefits and minimal risks and will be given instructions about the preparation for surgery.

The pain and discomfort will be bearable if the prescribed medication is used and this generally disappears completely after the first few weeks. It will be necessary to wear an orthopaedic bra for the first month.
Scarring practically disappears in time
It is a procedure which shows very good results with a minimal risk as long as it is performed by a specialised and experienced surgeon. The patient will notice a physical and emotional improvement.
